Constructed of silver with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc bearing a raised and silvered Stahlhelm, in turn bearing an engraved inscription of DER STAHLHELM flanked by an Iron Cross, above silvered oak leaves and a date of 1925, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Stahlhof Magdeburg, with a silver
