Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central monogram of Karl I inside of a laurel wreath, the reverse with a gorget style shield bearing an inscription of FR TREUEN DIENST IN EINEM FELDZUG (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE CAMPAIGN), unmarked, measuring 29. 82 mm in diameter, weighing 13. 7 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
