Turkey, Ottoman Empire. First War Turkish War Medal (Aka Galipoli Star) GTRexclude circa 1941-42(Harp Madalyasi). Instituted in 1915. In silvered bronze with red enamels, designed without enamels in the voided areas of the tughra, ball finials on the tips of the star points, measuring 55. 5 mm (w) x 53. 5 mm (h), horizontal pinback, intact enamels, spotting evident on the crescent, very light contact overall, near extremely fine.
