Karl I Variant (1917 1918 Issue). A Bravery Medal I Class, consisting of a round medal constructed of silver, with a pierced ball suspension and a swivel ring for suspension from its period original tri fold ribbon bearing a metal K for officers, the obverse with a rightward facing effigy of Karl I circumscribed by his name and title, the reverse inscribed Fortitudini (Fortitude) within a laurel
