How to apply for the DSI

Do you have a high school diploma? Are you planning a future career in IT? Did you particularly like math, physics and maybe even computer science on the timetable in secondary school? Then you’re doing everything right with an application for the DSI! Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Apply to one of our practice companies

16 Bremen IT companies are partners of our program and have already mentored DSI students in the past. Find your favorite in the overview and apply!

Step 2: Apply to the university

As soon as you have been accepted by a practice partner, you can enroll at the University of Bremen – in the Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science.

Important dates

Bei den Unternehmen bewirbst Du Dich in der Regel ein Jahr vorher. Hast Du die Zusage vom Unternehmen musst Du Dich bis zum 15. Juli Deines Startjahres an der Universität Bremen immatrikuliert haben.

Die Ausbildung startet am 1. August eines jeden Jahres. Ab Ausbildungsbeginn gehst Du auch zur Berufsschule.

The course starts a few weeks later. The lecture period begins with the respective winter semester, i.e. in October.
