Sophie, why did you choose the DSI?

I wanted to do an apprenticeship alongside my studies, where I could gain practical experience in a company and earn money.

What is the atmosphere like at Bremen University of Applied Sciences?

The university feels like school, especially for the higher semesters. The rooms are the size of a classroom, so you can communicate well with the professors and it’s not uncommon for them to know you. The students also know each other, so it’s easy to exchange ideas.

What specifically did you do and learn there?

I completed my training as an IT specialist in application development there and have been working there as an application developer ever since.

What should someone who is thinking about doing the DSI know?

You don’t need to be afraid because you get good support with all kinds of problems. Studying can be exhausting, but the company is a good support. You can also put together the modules in the way that suits you best.
