Course content
Are you looking for a Master’s degree that will qualify you for a management or leadership position in two and a half years? Then the dual master’s program in computer science (DMI) in Bremen is ideal for you.
Practice
During your DMI, you will work XX days a week at a practical company, where you can apply your knowledge from your studies directly and gain an intensive insight into the day-to-day work of your future professional field. And not to forget: You will receive a salary!
Theory
During your studies, which comprise around XX semester hours per week, you will expand and deepen the theoretical, practical and technical foundations of computer science. You will also examine the economic and social impact of information technology systems.
And even more
And there is a third pillar at the DMI that is unique in Germany: future skills. Courses developed exclusively for DMI participants provide you with exclusive key qualifications that are not the focus of either your studies or your company. The courses are taught by experts from business and science and are offered in cooperation with companies. At the end of your studies, you will receive a certificate for the profile courses you have passed. A real advantage when applying for a job and the ideal prerequisite for a job where you can shape a lot and, if you wish, lead teams.
Insights into the course content
What course content can I expect? The course content in computer science can vary greatly. This is mainly due to the fact that the universities set different priorities in their computer science courses. In principle, however, every Bachelor’s degree course initially includes the following basic subjects:
→ Mathematics
→ Algorithmics
→ Databases
→ Software engineering
→ Communication technology
→ Programming
→ Business administration
→ Operating systems
→ Computer architecture
As your studies progress, you can then focus on one or more areas of computer science. For example, you can choose from these subjects, some of which you can also study as part of an independent academic degree course:
