This is what the study program looks like

In the first three semesters, you will mainly acquire the basics of computer science and mathematics. From the fourth to seventh semester, you will specialize and deepen your specialist knowledge. In the eighth semester, you will write your final thesis in cooperation with your training company.

The Computer Science B.Sc. program at the University of Bremen is application-oriented and focuses on

• the theoretical, practical and technical foundations of computer science
• on their application to solve specific problems
• and the social contexts of these development and application processes.

These are also the questions for the research projects on the course. Are you interested in how innovation and technology hold the world together? From cool gadgets to big questions – we’re all about it.

And this is what awaits you in the practical part

In your practical company, you can apply the knowledge you have gained during your studies directly and gain an intensive insight into the day-to-day work of your future professional field. And not to forget: There’s a salary too!

On top: school education

You will complete your school education at the SII Utbremen school center. Lessons take place on a fixed day each week.

And after the Bachelor’s degree? A unique Master!

After your DSI, you can go one better: the unique Bremen Master’s degree with an extra dose of future skills! Our dual master’s program in computer science (DMI) offers you the ideal prerequisites for a career in the digital economy.

In courses developed exclusively for DMI participants, you will acquire key qualifications that are not taught either at university or at work. The courses are taught by experts from business and science. You won’t find this anywhere else in Germany!

At the end of your studies, you will receive a certificate for the profile courses you have passed. A real advantage when applying and the ideal prerequisite for your IT career.
